Lacey is living her passion working in television news. She's been in the business since 1989 and joined us in 2003 as part of our original team of journalists. Lacey is our Traffic Anchor/Reporter, providing up to the minute traffic reports every weekday morning and afternoon.
Prior to that, she handled traffic reporting for a 24-hour news channel in busy Houston, Texas. Lacey started her broadcast career as a reporter at WBSG-TV in Georgia. She was also the Texas evening news announcer for National Public Radio while attending Abilene Christian University. Lacey has also worked for First American Health Care, The Health Network, WFTV in Orlando, ESPN2, National Mobile Television, and WBSG/WJXX in Jacksonville, Florida. Lacey says some of her career highlights include interviewing Colin Powell and former First Lady Barbara Bush.

In her free time, Lacey is active in many Central New York charitable and civic organizations. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse. Lacey works closely with the Carol M. Baldwin Research Fund of CNY and was honored with that organization's 2010 Philanthropic Person of the Year award. She is an active member of Wetzel Road Church of Christ. Lacey was honored as one of Central New York’s “40 Under 40” in 2009, in recognition of her professional achievements and community work, and is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse. Lacey was awarded the Norma Coburn Community Service Award by the Onondaga County Traffic Safety Advisory Board in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 Lacey earned a prestigious Silver Telly award for her concept and direction of a “Buckle Up” public service announcement produced in cooperation with the Traffic Safety Advisory Board.
