CORNING, N.Y. -- Authorities say this weekend's murder in Corning was over drugs and money.
Corning, Elmira and State Police held a news conference Tuesday with more information about the stabbing death.
Samantha Smith, 28, and Marland Brooks, 38, have both been charged with second degree murder for the death of Clack VanEtten, 26.
VanEtten was found dead in his home on Park Avenue Saturday by a co-worker. Police believe Brooks stabbed VanEtten twice with a knife.
The investigation is still ongoing, but they say they have an idea of a motive.
Police also say VanEtten has two children, but they were not living with him.
