WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- As charitable organizations around the state are getting ready for the holidays and making sure kids have something under the tree, a Watertown agency is hoping to make Christmas a bit brighter for the entire family.
The Watertown Urban Mission's Impossible Dream Thrift Store began its annual "Christmas Dreams Made Possible" sale Monday. The store offers a wide variety of gently used decorations, like trees, lights, wreaths and more. They want to give families a chance to truly feel like it's the holiday season.
"This is a way to give everyone an opportunity to decorate their homes. It's not just people with low income. It's for anyone who wants to save money," said Drew Mangione, Urban Mission Director of Development.
The Christmas store is open every day until December 7th. Every sale made goes to support the Urban Mission's major programs, like providing food, clothing, shelter and even medical expenses for those in need.
