WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hundreds of thousands are expected to gather in Washington, D.C. today for the 40th annual March for Life. The pro-life rally commemorates the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which was January 22nd, 1973.
The overall goal of the march is to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision to legalize abortion.
Several Congressional leaders will speak at the rally, followed by a march to the Supreme Court. More than 600 people from Central New York and the Southern Tier are participating.
