SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange basketball team learned who their first two opponents will be in the Maui Invitational in November. SU will tip-off the tournament November 18th against St. Francis at the Carrier Dome before facing Minnesota in Maui on the 25th.

VESTAL, N.Y. - A day after Jaz Swain announced she is leaving Binghamton a year early to be closer to home, Bearcat head coach Nicole Scholl addressed how the team will carry on without their second-leading scorer. Scholl says Swain's departure is an opportunity for other players to step up.

VESTAL, N.Y. - The BU womens' basketball team is losing one of its key members. The team announced Wednesday that senior Jasbriell Swain has decided to leave Binghamton and transfer to another school closer to her hometown of Memphis.

Swain lead the Bearcats in assists and was second in rebounding last year.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - A couple of Orange basketball players will be spending their summer break far away from home. Junior Rakeem Christmas and sophomore transfer Michael Gbinije will be balling in Estonia next month after being selected for the East Coast All Star team.

The Orange duo will leave July 21st.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Kayla Alexander became just the second SU player to ever be drafted by a WNBA team Monday night. The Orange's all-time leading scorer was picked eight overall by San Antonio.

Alexander says now she's focused on proving the Stars right for drafting her.
