Windy & Becoming Chilly Overnight

Watching a Coastal Storm for Wednesday

A cold front will provide a few showers and it will be windy overnight with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Tuesday is shaping up to be blustery and MUCH cooler with highs in the 40s. The best chance for a few showers will be farther north and east/north east of Lake Ontario which means most of us escape the day precipitation free.

We'll turn our attention to a strong coastal system on Wednesday and while there is still some uncertainty as to how much moisture will actually make it to Central NY, pre-Thanksgiving travel impacts are expected along the East Coast so plan accordingly. This system will pull away to the northeast on Thanksgiving Day and with a significantly weaker disturbance tracking in from the west, the forecast calls for a just a couple of flurries/snow showers (especially late). Additionally, an even colder air mass looks to settle in for the second half of the week with temperatures only topping out in the 30s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Windy & Becoming Chilly Overnight

Watching a Coastal Storm for Wednesday

A cold front will provide a few passing showers and it will be windy overnight with lows ranging from 35 to 40 degrees. Tuesday is shaping up to be breezy and MUCH cooler, but more seasonable with highs in the 40s.

We'll turn our attention to a strong coastal system on Wednesday and while there is still some uncertainty as to how much moisture will actually make it to the Southern Tier, pre-Thanksgiving travel impacts are expected along the East Coast so plan accordingly. This system will pull away to the northeast on Thanksgiving Day and with a significantly weaker disturbance tracking in from the west, the forecast calls for a just a couple of flurries/snow showers (especially late). Additionally, an even colder air mass looks to settle in for the second half of the week with temperatures only topping out in the 30s Wednesday/Thursday and we have 20s in store for Friday.
