Not Too Frightening Today; Windy and Colder This Weekend

Happy Halloween!

Your Halloween will be mostly cloudy and chilly with a few showers possible late in the day, especially west.  Highs will only be in the upper 40s to around 50.  Trick-or-Treaters may have to dodge a few spooky light showers and sprinkles, but it should not be too scary, at least weather wise for all the little monsters.  Lows tonight will drop to around 40.  Colder air will be blown in later Saturday and especially Saturday night with scattered light showers, possibly mixed with a little snow/ice pellets over the high terrain Saturday.  Highs on Saturday will be in the middle to perhaps upper 40s, but increasing winds will make it feel more like the 30s.

An intensifying nor'easter will assist in pulling down the coldest air of the season Saturday night into Sunday with any lake effect rain showers mixing and probably changing to snow showers and flurries late Saturday night and lingering into Sunday.  Partial clearing is possible later Sunday, but may be tough to get the sun out with the cold northwest flow keeping Lake Ontario involved.  Highs Sunday will only manage upper 30s to lower 40s.  Temperatures will warm back up during the first half of next week with temperatures possibly climbing into the 60s and 70s again by Tuesday!

Have a great Halloween and weekend!

Not Too Frightening Today; Windy and Colder This Weekend

Happy Halloween!

Your Halloween will be mostly cloudy and chilly with a few showers possible late in the day, especially around I-81 points west.  Highs will only be in the mid 40s to around 50.  Trick-or-Treaters may have to dodge a few scattered spooky light showers and sprinkles, but it should not be too scary, at least weather wise for all the little monsters.  Lows tonight will drop into the mid 30s to around 40.  Colder air will be blown in later Saturday and especially Saturday night with scattered light showers, possibly mixed with a little snow/ice pellets over the high terrain Saturday.  Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 40s, but increasing winds will make it feel more like the 30s.

An intensifying nor'easter will assist in pulling down the coldest air of the season Saturday night into Sunday with any leftover rain showers mixing and probably changing to snow showers and flurries later Saturday night and lingering into Sunday.  Partial clearing is possible later Sunday, but despite drier air building in with some sun possibly developing Sunday highs to end the weekend will only manage mid 30s to around 40.  Temperatures will warm back up during the first half of next week with temperatures possibly climbing into the 60s again by Tuesday!

Have a great Halloween and weekend!

Not Too Frightening Today; Windy and Colder This Weekend

Happy Halloween!

Your Halloween will be mostly cloudy and chilly with a few showers possible later in the day, especially west of Binghamton.  Highs will only be in the mid 40s to around 50.  Trick-or-Treaters may have to dodge a few spooky light showers and sprinkles, especially west of Binghamton, but it should not be too scary, at least weather wise for all the little monsters.  Lows tonight will drop into mid 30s to around 40.  Colder air will be blown in later Saturday and especially Saturday night with scattered light showers, possibly mixed with a little snow/ice pellets over the high terrain Saturday.  Highs on Saturday will be in the middle to perhaps upper 40s, but increasing winds will make it feel more like the 30s and it will be quite raw.

An intensifying nor'easter moving just east of New England coast will assist in pulling down the coldest air of the season Saturday night into Sunday with any lake effect rain showers mixing and likely changing to snow showers and flurries late Saturday night and lingering into Sunday.  Partial clearing is possible later Sunday, especially west, but may be tough to get the sun out with the cold northwest flow keeping Lake Ontario involved.  Highs Sunday will only manage upper 30s to lower 40s with wind chills in the 20s and low 30s.  Temperatures will warm back up during the first half of next week with temperatures possibly climbing into the 60s and 70s again by Tuesday!

Have a great Halloween and weekend!
